By 7:30am we were at Sequoia Hospital (about 7 minutes from the house). The contractions continued and by around 9:30am we were pretty convinced that this wasn't a false alarm. Although we were all concerned about a replay of Erik's intense, all-night labor followed by 6 hour pushing extravaganza, Elise was much more polite. She didn't keep us up all night or anything. By 1:07pm she was with us. Now delivering a baby is never an easy process, but let me tell you, Monika and Elise did it like old pros.
The real shocker that she has a full head of dark brown hair. A lot of it!
Because of Erik's platinum blonde hair, we were shocked to say the least. However, after a little bit of research we were able to confirm that Erik also had dark hair when he was born just not quite as much.
