Although we normally wore boat shoes on board, we found those little water sport shoes to be handy things to have along for exploring the shore. Reef Runners are one particularly catchy brand name, although they don't seem any better or worse than any other we've seen. They are usually pretty cheap... anywhere from $7 - $40 / pair.
